Parna Baharali is a freelance photographer who lives and works in Tehran, Iran.She was granted her MEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering from University of Birmingham, England.

Parna’s work includes a deep personal element. She uses photography to project her own personal visions and experiences as a woman living in an Islamic society into a bigger picture as a way to express and share her personal perception with her audience and unfold situations and stories that may remain unnoticed to others.

Feminism is the main subject presented in her work and women are the central subjects. In particular, she explores women’s identity, their situation in an Islamic society and the objectification of women in addition to their daily struggles.

Parna hopes that through her work, she can highlight the sensitive issue of women’s objectification and situation to the public and link her personal experiences to the world to be able to make an impact on her society and the world in general.
